So sometimes I'll be watching a really good show or listening to music, right, and I'll be so absorbed that I momentarily believe that I'm as effortlessly suave or badass or intelligent as that piece of media is making me feel. For a minute there my ego will skyrocket and I'll lift my cup of coffee to my lips with a confident smirk.

And then the lid will pop right off that coffee and it'll splatter straight into my lap. And I'll be left with a warm puddle of caffeinated shame and the reminder that I'm a sloppy moron whose whole wardrobe is 90% T-shirts with cartoon characters on them. I was never smart or awesome or classy at all.

And my hair smells like a vanilla latte.
